Hi Keith
I' d like to ask you a couple of things apart from magnum,if thats ok and been an ex bookmaker you might be able to help me.
I'm also a member of on the oche (and like yourself is a very profitable and excellent service)also going to add football elite later this year to my portfolio.
However i also try and use the free tips hugh taylor gives out on the at the races website.
Theres so many mug punters out there who must be backing his horses at any prices, you can take advantage of this as long as you get on advised prices.
He normally gives bets out between 10 and 11 so you have to keep refreshing the page, and then you only have a couple of minutes before prices are gone,
so i just concentrate on the one bet and only bet if i can get the advised price.
Excellent trading opportunities as i always lay my stake back at lesser odds giving me free bets, the last 7 months i,ve made about £4000 with hardly any risk.
I try to use shops as much as possible because its alot easier to put bets on,as alot of my accounts are getting restricted.
Now i don,t have any problems with ladbrokes as yet,but up to a couple of weeks ago william hills were taking my bets no problem, then i had a £200 winner at 13/2 witch i laid back at 9/2.Overall i,d say my hills phone account is making a loss there end and a profit my end if you know what i mean.
Now every time i call hills im put on hold and refered to trading and even just cut off the other day,for example i wanted a £100 at 12/1 and they only offered me £25.
Just wondering when my account details come up does it come up red alert hugh taylor bet refer to trader or something similar, they are really doing my head in to be honest.
You been an ex bookmaker how do traders actually operate and make decisions.
Is there a way i can get round this maybe closing my account leaving it a few weeks and re opening on a different card.
Bookmakers make millions off all the mug punters why can,t they just give a little back for the likes of us !
Sorry for going on a bit.
Regards richie.
Hi Richie
Bookmakers make their profits providing a service to punters, it's not about winners or losers - its all about profit.
Don't take it personally if you get restricted, look on it as YOU being an intelligent punter, and as with all intelligent punters, you have ot work out ways of getitng on, and getting on at the best prices
Bookmakers just want to make money and Bookmakers intelligence today is huge, as they have so much technology these days.
The only WINNING accounts bookmakers tolerate is the free accounts that are given to trainers to bet on their own horses, even if these accounts show a loss, its rare for the bokmaker to ask for the money, as this account, tips off the bookmaker that the yard is ON"
Be honest, if YOU were running a business, would you keep letting people take your profits ?
I would suggest, if possible using the exchanges more - you tend to get better prices on larger priced runners anyway, and their are several exchanges out there.
Another way is to get a friend to help you out, ask them to open an account and then let you use it, closing an account then re-opening at a later date with the same card, name and address will not stop them putting a restriction on your account - just the opposite really as this will only arouse suspicion.
Their are plenty of Bookmakers out there, I would suggest you open as many accounts as you can and make full use of them, coupled with some exchange accounts.
I hope this helps
Keith
